Color Advice!

  1. From the top down:
At this point I'm looking at how the structure of the word and the color combine to give a definition of the word.
    1) I don't think you need to vary so much from the original black & white design. Go back to the original and use these colors, but weaken the background chroma so it is almost gray and attention is focused on the text. I do like the illusion of transparency here--maybe just in the "e" overlapping the "g".
    2) Although the top CHA is beautiful, I don't think it is needed. In text and type, often simple is best.
    3) Change the purple so the darkest is at the center like we talked about in class last week. Then decide if you want to also do that with the yellow--hard to say right now.
4)There is a lot of strong chroma that makes it difficult to decide where to focus. In this case, the background could be much weaker in chroma.
5)Again, I think the original B&W is more successful than the changes here. Work with color placement on the original, making sure that the background is weak in chroma.
    6) In this case, multiples strengthen the definition as the colors change as the word goes back in space. Make sure the chromas towards the back don't get too strong (the middle "A" and the last two yellow words).
