Art & Design Gallery

After class, I visited the Art & Design Gallery in the Art & Design Building. I chose to analyze a poster created by Bob Coffeen. The poster was titled Building Associates and it showed the viewer about the Richard Auditorium Renovation Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. The reason I chose this particular poster and artist was because Coffeen seemed to use the grid effectively. The past few projects, we have been assigned to focus on using a grid for the layout of our posters just like Coffeen ended up using. Also, he uses the rule of a diagonal which catches the viewers attention like my group had used in our previous project.
