I interviewed 5 KU student's about their opinion and thoughts of the function of a binder clip.
1) Have you ever used a binder clip? Why or why not?
2) Do you consider the binder clip useful? Why or why not?
3) What is one way you would improve the design of the binder clip if you were able to?
Sarah Morris, freshmen
1) I do use the binder clip because it's an easy way to bind large amounts of paper together.
2) I do consider the binder clip useful because it gets the job done.
3) If I could redesign the binder clip I would make it so when opening it, there wasn't so much tension on your finger tips.
Jordan Sova, freshmen
1) I frequently use the binder clip because it helps me stay organized.
2) I don't find the binder clip functional because I think it's too hard to open.
3) One way I would improve the design of the binder clip would be to add longer handles so it's easier to hold.
Michelle Graham, senior
1) I don't use the binder clip because it's too hard to open.
2) I don't consider the binder clip functional because it's not for me.
3) One way I would improve the design would make it so you wouldn't have to squeeze it open to use to. You could slide it on like a paper clip.
Andrew Glatt, freshmen
1) I rarely use it. I only use it when I need to hold projects together.
2) I do find the binder clip functional because it's very helpful in staying organized.
3) If I could change the design of the binder clip, I would add springs to it so it was easier to squeeze open but still snapped shut.
